The starting line-up

It’s hard not to get excited when working with such wonderful brands from the outset. It was also incredibly hard to choose the first 5 brands to feature in a blog post!

But here they are:

Grimms

This brand is easily the reason I fell in love with wooden toys, and with the idea of one day selling wooden toys to others…
Grimms is synonymous with beauty in a wooden toy. Intentionally designed and sustainably produced, all their products focus on open-ended play, fostering children’s (and adults’) imagination and creativity.

One day I would love to stock the entire Grimms range (probably just so I can look at it all!!) – there is beauty in every individually hand-crafted piece.

Stapelstein

An ingenious idea that has become a phenomenon in the world of open-ended and gross motor play.
Simple but stackable stepping stones (the German translation of Stapelstein is “stepping stone”) and balance boards open up a world of adventure, be it indoors, outdoors, and in water play.

Made from incredibly durable, recyclable material – Stapelstein has a very bright future, and it is a colourful delight to stock their stuff!

Bajo

An inspired Polish brand creating amazing toys and games with eye-catching designs for the last 30 years.
Their really clever, colourful ranges of toys have an artistic edge and are really unique – from animals of the Galapagos and the Critically Endangered list, to exclusive Gruffalo figurines and toys based on the artwork of Axel Scheffler in Julia Donaldson’s famous children’s book, The Gruffalo… and with hundreds of colourful and educational options for play in-between – this is another brand I am very excited to stock and grow at Treasured Toys.

Cuboro

Exclusively available at Treasured Toys! Cuboro is an amazingly ingenious marble run system, taking simplicity of form and design to another level with simple cube structures that make intricate marble runs along the tops and the middles of each cube.
Exciting to build and experiment with, these marble run sets are produced in Switzerland to an incredibly high standard.
Dare I say it, this is a brand as much for the, “bigger” kids as for the small ones! A fabulous way to build family connection by playing together, and helping little ones learn STEM principles through play – I am such a fan and they are worth every cent.

PlanToys

This is a brand that uses a unique manufacturing method for their toys – out of every part of their sustainably sourced forestry that cannot be used for solid wood components for their toys, they create PlanWood. This is a sustainably made composite, used to make the parts of toys that benefire from being much more durable than if they were just made of wood.

PlanToys use every last square inch of a tree by using this unique method, and using whatever is left to generate energy for their factory (for example, the roots). They have created a really unique range of toys with very attractive designs and wide appeal, being recognised along the way for their approach to social responsibility and the sustainable world.

The beautiful products from these amazing brands are on their way to Treasured Toys HQ, if they haven't already arrived and been listed on the website.

And there are more brand features coming soon!

In the meantime - happy shopping xx
