Why Pre-loved?
A cornerstone of the Treasured Toys philosophy is the circular economy, both by contributing to it and benefiting from it, rather than opting to dispose of old and purchase new.
Treasured Toys is here to buy your pre-loved items, and list them on our website so that they may find their next homes to be treasured in!
A few necessary criteria apply for an item to be bought by Treasured Toys for resale. It needs to be:
- In excellent condition – brand new, nearly new, or like new.
- Clean, and have no discolouration; any repairs done on it need to be almost invisible and not affect play with it in any way.
- Complete with all of its original components or pieces.
- Free from cracks, creases or large nicks – any of these or other signs of excessive “love” and wear-and-tear, will unfortunately not be accepted.
- Completely free from pet-hair.
- From a smoke-free home.
Items bought from Treasured Toys may qualify for buy-back, once they also meet the above criteria, and after a period of time has elapsed since the item was bought new from our site.
How to sell to Treasured Toys
Thank you for considering the re-sale of your toys, puzzles or games, instead of throwing them away whenever you are done with them:
1. Over on the Contact us page, select “Pre-loved query (selling to Treasured Toys)” to express your interest in selling on your items. You will be prompted to enter a message, and tell us what way you wish to be contacted further.
2. You will then hear back from us, to determine if your pre-loved item meets the criteria for buy-back or re-sale via our website. This will include sending us several photos of the item/s from different angles, and possibly a video call to examine the item/s in 3D.
3. If the items are in acceptable condition and you are happy with the price Treasured Toys offers you for your item, where possible, collection will be arranged, with full payment made on collection via Revolut.
4. If the item is outside the radius for collection, you will be posted a postage label, and extra padding for packaging can also be sent where required for more fragile items. When the items have been successfully delivered to us, we will pay for them via Revolut, to complete the transaction.
